About Haul Factor

Make them prove it.

Haul Factor exists so no trucker signs a factoring deal without knowing what it costs to stay, and what it costs to leave.

Why we built it

We read hundreds of posts from truckers about factoring. The same story kept showing up: a rate that sounded fine, signed fast because cash was tight, and then the fine print. A notice window nobody mentioned. A fee to leave. A reserve that comes back "whenever." A release letter that takes months.

Factoring isn't the enemy. Truckers need fast cash, and factoring done straight gives them that. The enemy is the fine print, and the playbook that hides it.

So we built a place where truckers rate the factors they use, checked by a code sent to the phone number on file for their MC or USDOT number, or by a screenshot from their factor that a person at Haul Factor checks, and an Exit Kit with the notice, payoff and release letters for getting out. Trust other truckers, not us.

What we stand on

Not with promises. With paper.

Your dollars, not percentages

"$10,000 to leave" means something. "A 2% termination fee" doesn't. When we talk about cost, we lead with the dollar figure.

We say who pays us

Some factors pay us a referral fee when a driver signs with them. You pay nothing extra, and it never changes a score or ranking. It's on every page, because you should know.

Straight, even when it costs us

Scores come from verified drivers, not from us. A factor can't pay to change one.

The Haul Factor Team

Haul Factor is run by a small team that follows trucking factoring: the rates, the contracts, the fees, and what it takes to leave. The guides on this site are by The Haul Factor Team. We don't put individual names on guides.

How we source facts

  • The factor's own published pages (terms, fee pages, contract text) and public records such as filings and state UCC records. We link them and say the date we read them.
  • Verified driver reviews. Each reviewer's MC or USDOT number is checked, by a one-time code or a screenshot a person checks. A factor needs 5 verified reviews to get a score. Until then its page says "Not scored yet."
  • Public driver posts from forums and Reddit, quoted exactly and kept short, with a link, the platform and the month. They are one person's account and never go into a score.
  • When we can't find a fact, we say so ("Terms not published") instead of filling the gap.

What "Reviewed against sources" means

On a guide, it is the date we last re-read the sources the guide cites and checked that its numbers and quotes still match them. The "Updated" date changes only when the content of the page changed.

How we fix mistakes

If you find an error, email support@haulfactor.com with the page and what's wrong. We check it against the source and fix the page. If the fix changes a fact or a number, we say what changed on the page and update the date.

Pay never changes a score

Scores are math on verified driver answers. Whether a factor pays us is not an input to a score or a ranking. How we make money.
